J. V. Baseballers Lose Four; Three Triples Feature Play

In their season debut, the Cats battled to a 1-1 tie with Carlisle .   The M-burg nine, although playing good ball, lost to New Cumberland 10-8.   The Cats next foe, Camp Curtin , beat them in a last inning rally 5-4.   Heintzelman, MHS pitcher, struck out 11 men. Carlisle hit them out of the ball park by a score of 10-2.   The highlight of this game was a triple by Warren .  Playing New Cumberland for the second time they were out for revenge only to be knocked off 5-4.   Cumberland Valley , a newcomer, was added to their schedule.   With their spirit high they were looking for their only win of the season. It was a heartbreaker as they dropped it 10—9.

Although they didn't win any games, much improvement was shown throughout the season.  The best hits of the season were triples by Deitrich at New Cumberland, Neisley at Camp Curtin , and Warren at Carlisle .
